FRED NGO
President
Fred moved to Canada from Hong Kong in his youth, studied computer engineering at the University of Toronto, and currently runs a successful technology consulting practice. He has lived and worked in some of the world's greatest cities including Paris, Los Angeles, and Montreal. As a young adult, Fred established a swing dancing school which still operates today.

KYLIE MCGOURAN
Vice president
Kylie is currently completing post-secondary studies in community and International development. Since a young age, she has been passionate about access to education and opportunities for youth and women. Kylie is constantly searching for research initiatives which can benefit communities within Canada and around the world.

KAREN REYES
Secretary
After studying International Affairs in El Salvador, Karen emigrated to Canada in her early 20s. Shortly upon arrival, she completed graduate work, found success in business, and volunteered for numerous organizations and causes. Karen is committed to making a difference for youth and immigrants. She has visited more nations than anyone on our team.

MARK HOLYOME
Treasurer
With a solid educational background in business, fine arts, and design, Mark has operated a successful creative design firm for more than a decade. He maintains a work-life balance serving clients from his home studio while raising his two daughters. Mark is also an award-winning sculptor and long-time volunteer at his local agricultural society.

GRANT GEMINIUC
Board member
As the senior advisor to the Community Researchers board, Grant's achievements could fill this bio section many times over. After studying mathematics, computer science, and business, Grant spent decades working with C-level executives at prominent multinationals, government agencies, and charitable organizations across the globe. He is also an accomplished corporate trainer and talented basketball player.

MICHAEL HARKER
Executive Director
While studying statistics and marketing in university, Michael established a specialty market research firm in his early twenties and became a leader in his field. As a part-time professor, he is committed to helping students and graduates follow their dreams and build exciting research careers. Michael is also an innovative fundraiser who likes to raise thousands of dollars for good causes on his birthday each year.
